Antufev Evgeniy

While browsing flickr I stubled upon Antufev's photostream. The russian artist Antufev Evgeniy makes peculiar and wonderful objects, costumes and photographs. And he is a collector of things.
I'm so touched of his work. It has a magic in it, that is really moving me. Beyond words.
Have a look at more of his inspiring work on his flickr page and on his blog (wrote in russian).

Joanna Rutter: silver jewelry

Joanna Rutter isn't only a talented silversmith, she has a great talent in displaying her products, too. I'm so in love with the new style of her product-shots. The papercut elements add a second layer to the photos. They are telling little stories about birds floating on clouds, branches waving in the wind and clouds meeting their silver-relatives. It's poetic.
Check out Joanna Rutter's Etsy-shop and blog.

Fox print by Hanna Konola

I posted about Hanna Konola in December. Now she updated her Etsy shop with this fox print. It is called "taikakettu", what means magic fox in english. Lovely name for a lovely print!

Participant award ribbon

I love this award ribbon, it would be perfect on a tote bag, or on a wall like shown in the image above. Available from Etsy shop Fieldguided.
It is made of a vintage, starched doily and vintage ribbons in beautiful shades of teal, grey, dusty pink, and greyish lavender.

Home of Eszter Rabin (Emma Rose Papery)

Some of you might know these images from a housetour on apartment therapy. The home of Eszter Rabin (Emma Rose Papery) and her husband Dan has inspired me very much since I discovered it. The soft colors and the mid-century furniture are my favorites in this gorgeous home. Check out Eszters custom letterpress invites, note cards and stationery.

Naomi Ito fabrics in Twins' Garden shop

I'm in love with these fabrics designed by Naomi Ito. I would like to make some curtains, or a cushion, or a patchwork blanket out of these.
I saw these in the nice fabric online shop Twins' Garden. They are based here in Germany, but they ship world-wide.
Fabrics shown above: Natural Tossed Flowers, Pink Scattered Dots, Natural Blooms, Aqua Tossed Flowers
Look at the Twins' Garden blog, it's lovely!

Yellow mood

I'm into yellow. And I like the fresh combination of yellow with white and wood tones. So here is a little yellow kitchen inspiration for you.
Left to right, top to bottom: flavored sea salt in lovely illustrated packages from Jme Shop, NorwaySays Mhy lamp available at finnish design shop, CD player from Muji, Camper vessel from Paige Russel, salt and pepper shaker "ikosa" from TaiDesign, kitchen paper holder from ScanWood, bread board city by tas-ka, tea towels also from tas-ka, yellow Teema mug is unfornunately taken out of production at Iittala (there are other lovely colors) but you can try ebay, Nordmyra chair from IKEA.

Welcome and thank you

First of all I want to thank Holly of decor8 for writing about my blog! I'm really thrilled!
In September 2008 I was on a blogging event here in Berlin, organized by decor8 and DaWanda (See this post at decor8 to learn more about it). Holly gave a speech about blogging. It was this experience that gave me the final impulse and courage to start my blog. I'm so thankful for that!

And I want to welcome everybody, who came across my blog through Holly's link. I'm looking forward to what the future will bring: posts, comments and contacts...

P.S. These peonies are the same you can see on my kitchentable in this picture. :)

SchubLaden (german: drawers) is a Berlin based shop selling handmade unique furniture with old unmated drawers. The bodies are made of MDF or solid wood. That is a pretty way of recycling. A mixture of modern and antique in one piece of furniture.

Great boy's room

Martha from UNIFORM Studio remade her son's room. The result is great, I think. A lot of white, some grey tones and splashes of yellow (her son's favorite color) make the look fresh and inviting. A great detail is the world map wall sticker from Ferm.
Find more photos of this great redo in Martha's flickr set.
Don't miss the UNIFORM studio shop, where she sells wonderfull handmade clothes.

Freundts Wohnaccessoires

Catherine wrote about a letter she bought at Freundts Wohnaccessoires, that is how I found out about this great german online shop. All the letters above you can purchase there. Do you know other good recourses for letters, like this?

This is a blue arrangement at my home. The blue R I found on ebay. Everything else is thrifted.

Castle

I found a post about Castle on Desire To Inspire this morning, and I had to share it with you. Castle prints bedlinen and pillowcases by hand and produces handstitched one-of-a-kind pieces on french linen. My favorite is the piece in the image above. I like also everything else about the image above: the colors, the headboard, the piles of books, the simplicity.

more typography for your home

To continue with typography for your home, I show you two wood-objects. I start with the sign above. It is hand cut by Sighn and it is part of a "limited" edition of 1 million. And 1 tree is planted through the Arbor Day Foundation for every ITSOK sign purchased. That's a very nice project, I think. You can pick one up at Multi Polar Projects. There is a nice film about the production of the sign, too.
The sign on the bottom is from Cox and Cox.

Winter in Berlin

Here are some white impressions. It is very rare, that we have snow at all in Berlin. So it is great to hear the snow crunching under your feet. It is a sound, I really love. See more images on my flickr.

John Pour Home

I like typography, and it's great, when you can decorate your home with it. You could use for example these typography rugs by John Pour Home. John himself want's to change "the way we think of rugs". His rugs are cut by hand and made of 5 mm thick felt.
I would love to have this doormat, which would welcome my guests with a warm yellow hello.

Jenni Rope

Here is another great finnish artist and illustrator. I love Hanna Konola's collages and her way of humour. Her book "mitä teet viikonloppuna" ("Any plans for the weekend?") would do a great present for a dear friend. I have it myself and I like it so much.
See more of her work on her website, and on Napa Illustrations Agency. Jenni runs also the publishing house Napa Books, and Napa shop & gallery. When you are in Helsinki check it out!

Home of Nadja Müller

I showed you some of Nadja Müller's beautiful products in december. Here are coming some pictures of her stunning home.

The Pillows you see in the image above are from nadjamüller.

The sofa in the image above is hand-embroidered! Doesn't it look great?

The hanging lamps in the two images above are also from nadjamüller.

I love the look, that this Ikea chest of drawers gets, only with some grey paint! And this sweet little stool, which Nadja painted and covered with fabric is so nice!

And I love the 2. I have a blue R at my home. I love this kind of huge letters.
