News from Marimekko

Marimekko has launched a new tableware line called Oiva, designed by Sami Ruotsalainen and decorated with the patterns Siirtolapuutarha and Räsymatto by the talented Maija Louekari. The cute patterns are also available as fabrics.

I think they will be added right to my christmas wishlist.

And some other news:
We are celebrating a huge anniversary here in Berlin: 20 Years since the Fall of the Berlin Wall. I was a little child when it happened but nevertheless it's very moving. I can't imagine what it would have been like to grow up in a city encircled by a wall.
I hope you had a good start into the week.

Geraldine Mattis ceramics

How about a cute cupcake plate to celebrate the coming weekend? These fun plates are designed by London based artist and designer Geraldine Mattis. I like the fact, that their designs are based on original paper collages. Available directly via Geraldine Mattis's website, or in the Mydeco online shop (scroll down a bit).
Have a great weekend!

Circus Violet

Studio Violet (the joint venture of Camilla Engman and Elisabeth Dunker) has launched a new collection called Circus Violet. As always their work is playful and gorgeous. The new collection includes re-used porcelain for a show in Karin Eriksson gallery, prints, stamps and black drop decals that I've been adoring since I've seen them the first time on Elisabeth Dunker's kitchen wall.
See more of this collection on Studio Violet homepage, for purchasing visit the Studio Violet shop.

Prince Design UK

Pretty ceramic plates from Prince Design UK. I like the tones, the surfaces, the texture.
