News from Marimekko

Marimekko has launched a new tableware line called Oiva, designed by Sami Ruotsalainen and decorated with the patterns Siirtolapuutarha and Räsymatto by the talented Maija Louekari. The cute patterns are also available as fabrics.

I think they will be added right to my christmas wishlist.

And some other news:
We are celebrating a huge anniversary here in Berlin: 20 Years since the Fall of the Berlin Wall. I was a little child when it happened but nevertheless it's very moving. I can't imagine what it would have been like to grow up in a city encircled by a wall.
I hope you had a good start into the week.

Congratulations on the Fall of the Wall !!! Unlike you, I grew up never knowing what it would be like WITHOUT the Wall. I think many people my age thought it and the power behind it would NEVER come down. We were thrilled beyond belief to watch it happen right before our eyes.
