Hella Jongerius for IKEA

Hella Jongerius designed these lovely wallhangings called Mikkel, Gullspira and Pelle for the IKEA-Unicef programme. Each wallhanging is made from beginning to end by one woman. On the back of the works are the names of IKEA, Hella Jongerius and the embroidered name of the woman who made it.
Check out Hella Jongerius' website for more information about this project and a lot of other really inspiring work.
Below are some scetches by Hella Jongerius. I always enjoy to see work in progress and to get an idea of how designers/artists work.
