A View To

Look at these lovely postcards from A View To by photographer and stylist Imke Klee. I have known her flickr for a while. And I'm happy, that these lovely collections made it into her Etsy shop! She also makes and sells very pretty fabric accessoires as necklaces, brooches and key rings. 

Sculptures by Arounna Khounnoraj

Arounna Khounnoraj is not only a designer and co-owner of the shop Bookhou, she is also an talented artist and maker of these tactile and colorful sculptures. I'm so in love with these fun and playful pieces. So inspiring!

Her Attachment Series will be shown from March 6 - 31, 2009 in the Rare Device Gallery in San Francisco. I would be so happy, if I could see Arrouna's wonderful work in person.

Bookhou

I really like these wooden objects and furniture from Bookhou, run by John Booth and Arounna Khounnoraj. Wood is a great material. It's such a nice way to bring natural and soft tones to your home. I would love to have some of these sweet houses and that beautiful mobile.

Donna Wilson

Welcome to Donna Wilson's wonderland. Donna is a textile and product designer, her creations are playful, tactile and bright. She uses a lot of color and it's just fun to look at her knitted creatures. On her website there are available knitted products, as furnishings and creatures and also stationery. Besides she designed a range of products that are available at SCP: lovely trays, these wooden dolls called "forest folk" and furniture. Both links are definitely worth a visit to see more of her work.

Hella Jongerius for IKEA

Hella Jongerius designed these lovely wallhangings called Mikkel, Gullspira and Pelle for the IKEA-Unicef programme. Each wallhanging is made from beginning to end by one woman. On the back of the works are the names of IKEA, Hella Jongerius and the embroidered name of the woman who made it.
